Detroit is an incredible city. It is full of wonderful, colorful, creative, intelligent and interesting people. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous ranging from 300 year old buildings to new ones. The history is rich and wonderful to tell.

The Supreme Court refused to hear the City of Detroit's appeal to block the release of settlement documents from the Kilpatrick Text Messaging Scandal. Maybe they will stop wasting the city's limited funds now and let the peopel see what they paid nine million dollars for.
The Detroit City Council voted to approve an 8.4 million dollar settle to former Deputy Police Chief and another officer for a wrongful dismissal lawsuit. It then approved a second settlement for roughly another half million.

Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick pleaded for forgiveness from his wife and constituents Wednesday in an emotional but carefully worded televised speech, avoiding direct mention of racy text messages that appear to contradict his sworn denials of an affair with a top aide.

Detroit Mayor Kwaame Kilpatrick spent last summer calling former police officers liars in a court of law. Yesterday, he was groveling before the city after 140,000 text messages between him and his married lover surfaced proving that he was the liar.
